Korea Blockchain Week 2019 to be held in Seoul this September
Korea Blockchain Week (KBW) 2019, a global blockchain event, will take place in Seoul from Sept. 27 through Oct. 4. The main event, the D.FINE Conference, is scheduled to take place at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Gangnam, southern Seoul, from Sept 30. to Oct. 1. It will be hosted by five media outlets including Join.D and two accelerators. KBW? It is an annual event organized by Factblock, a Korean accelerator and consulting firm specializing in blockchain-related businesses. Last year, renowned figures in the blockchain field, including Galaxy Digital CEO Michael Novogratz, Hashed CEO Simon Kim and ICON CEO Kim Jong-hyup, participated as speakers. Under the theme “The Real and The Virtual,” the two day event this year will present successful blockchain projects being undertaken by global companies and cases where decentralization technology has been applied to everyday usage. Busan city-- recently designated as a “regulation-free blockchain zone” alongside Seoul-- will sponsor the D.FINE Conference. It will be Korea’s first blockchain conference co-hosted by Factblock and Hashed. The D.FINE Conference will be hosted by five media companies: JoongAng Ilbo (Join.D), Hankyoreh (Coindesk Korea), Seoul Economic Daily (Decenter), Financial News (The Block Post) and Blockmedia.
